Our apartment had a balcony and view of the sea which was perfect. The apartment itself was lovely although the kitchen equipment was sparse and of inferior quality.
We were disappointed in the distance of our apartment from the centre of Marina D'Or. We didn't feel this was disclosed in any advertising. My Mother is unable to walk very far and we initially thought we would be close to all amenities. Also - very difficult to get a taxi. The resort was also practically empty, with entire apartment blocks on either side of us having few or no residents... Don't know if this was due to recession or end of season. When we did venture into the centre, there was very little atmosphere due to lack of people

A €200 deposit was required for the key, which is ridiculous, I had paid for the room I do not understand how they can justify this. The resort did not have enough taxis, it was very difficult to get around.

The staff were friendly, the apartment was excellent value. We especially enjoyed the gardens with the mosaic benches and the animals in it. It was a great place to be even with the cold weather. We would definately stay again.

Nice beach,
Finding the address is ridiculous, even with a gps. Check in and check out is very far from the Apartment (we had to Drive) Shower is at best worm when not alternating warm/very cold. Beds are rock hard. Will not go back there.

The apartments were great for our stay during the Benicasim Festival. They were spotlessly clean when we arrived and of a high standard. The location is perfect, being close to both the supermarket and the beach and close to the shuttle bus to the Benicasim festival site. Especially for the price we paid I would definitely recommend people to stay at these apartments. There was plenty of space for 6 people to stay - athough there is only air conditioning in the lounge not the bedrooms, and the showers flooded slightly so the floors became pretty dirty by the end. One point to note is that you will have to buy a shuttle pass to get to the festival which is €50 - but really easy to get and well worth it - buy them in advance from beni-travel or you can get them on the bus which you get on calle la pina on a crossroads really close to the apartments.
Ignore the Booked.net website when it says to check in at Hotel Gran Duque - this is nothing to do with the apartments at all and we were sent to wander around the whole town looking to find where to check in - the self-catering apartments reception is right by the apartments and is open all day until late during the festival. If it's closed then go to the Marina D'Or 4star hotel which is near all the restaurants and bars. The staff at the apartments reception are really unhelpful to the point of being rude, so do not aim to rely on them for assistance. You need to pay the deposit in cash, although they eventually allowed me to pay half in cash and the rest in credit card. There is a €20 deposit to use the pool which they don't tell you when you check in - so make sure you ask. Also there are no sunloungers by the pool - so you'll need to bring a beach towel.
